4Given my age (a mere 24) it can be hard to see how someone this young would be so into watches. When everyone else in the horological community was probably born well before 1985.
But just like many of them, my fascination with watches started with my father's watch. An old Omega Seamaster 120. This is, to this day, the coolest watch I have ever seen. With a slightly faded blue dial, slightly wonky rotating bezel and more scratches on the case than any male in my family would care to admit.
Being able to wear such history has been the driving force behind my journey of discovery in the watch world.
Despite being lucky enough to have seen and written about some incredible watches so far, it will always come back to that banged up Seamaster for me.
Now, I love nothing more than finding a new watch or an old watch I knew nothing about and learning (quite literally) what makes it tick.
However, this journey sits right alongside my growth in journalism and gaining experience in multiple areas in the field.
With my experience in news, lifestyle and video to name a few, I have gained a great breadth of experience in my short professional career.
Starting as editor of The Tab Brookes for two years and then moving on to 6 months at Business Insider.
While at Business Insider I had the great opportunity to work on the syndication desk, which meant I could work with fantastic publications around the world that we had partnerships with. From The Independent to Al Jazeera. As well as adding new partnerships to the company with brands such as Esquire.
Now you can find my work as a freelance journalist in titles ranging from Oracle Time to The Jackal as well as QP and Calibre.
